Terms of Service
Last updated: August 7, 2026
The short version
- Bounce helps you present your real experience so it gets read. It never invents experience, and it never promises you a job.
- Cancel or pause subscriptions any time from your account. We will offer you a discount and a pause on the way out; decline both and it cancels on the spot.
- One-time purchases (Pro yearly, All Access) are not refundable. The checkout page says so before you pay, not only here. If you were charged in error or charged twice, that is a mistake, not a refund request, and we fix it.
- Use the tools honestly and professionally, and we will get along great.
What Bounce is
Bounce (careerbounce.io) provides a free resume scanner, Bounce Studio (AI resume tailoring and cover letters), Blaise (an AI voice mock interviewer), Career Watch, and related tools. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Honesty, both ways
- Our promise: Bounce only rewords and reorganizes experience you actually provide. It will not fabricate skills, employers, dates, or credentials, and it flags honest gaps instead of papering over them.
- What we do not promise: interviews, offers, or outcomes. No one can honestly promise those. We show you what resume software reads and help you fix real problems.
- Your side: you are responsible for the truthfulness of the content you provide and submit to employers.
Your account and access
Paid access is tied to the email you purchase with. Keep access links private; you are responsible for activity under your access. You must be at least 16 to use Bounce.
Billing
- Subscriptions (Pro monthly, Pro quarterly, Blaise, Scout, Career Watch) renew automatically until you cancel or pause. You can cancel or pause anytime from your account. Cancelling a whole subscription takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep access until then. Ending an add-on that shares a subscription with another plan is not the same thing: Blaise or Scout on a monthly Pro plan, or Career Watch sharing a subscription with Scout, comes off that subscription the same day you confirm it, access to that one add-on stops that day, and the rest of the period is credited to your next invoice. An add-on billing on its own subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops.
- One-time purchases (Pro yearly, All Access) are single charges, not subscriptions. Pro yearly provides 12 months of Pro access. All Access provides permanent access to every Bounce tool that exists at the time of purchase, and to anything we add later, for the life of the service. We do not commit to a stream of future tools, because we would rather sell you what exists than what we might build.
- Financing (Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay) is offered at checkout by those providers under their own terms.
- Prices may change; changes never apply retroactively to time you have already paid for. All Access founding pricing is locked at what you paid, forever.
Refunds
- All Access ($399, one payment): non-refundable. You are told this on the checkout page before you pay, not only here. The reason is plain: everything you build is exported to your own device and is yours immediately and permanently, so there is nothing to give back. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or something went wrong with the purchase itself, contact us and a person will sort it out.
- Pro yearly ($149, one payment): non-refundable. Same reason as All Access, and the checkout page tells you before you pay. It is a single charge covering twelve months, not a subscription, so there is nothing running in the background to stop and nothing further will be taken.
- Subscriptions: cancel anytime to stop future charges. Cancelling a whole subscription is not prorated: you keep access through the period you paid for and nothing is credited back. Ending an add-on that shares a subscription with another plan works the other way: it stops the day you confirm it, and the rest of that period is credited to your next invoice. You can pause instead of cancelling to keep your history.
- Where local law gives you stronger refund rights, those apply.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Bounce to create false or misleading application materials.
- Keep Blaise professional. It is a mock interviewer; sexual, harassing, or abusive content is redirected, logged, and repeated misuse ends the session and can end your access without refund.
- No scraping, reselling, reverse engineering, probing our security, or abusing rate limits.
- One person per plan. All Access is a personal license, not a team seat.
Your content
You own your resume and everything you create with Bounce. You give us only the limited permission needed to process it and deliver the service (see the Privacy Policy). We do not use your content to train AI models.
AI, candor about limits
Bounce uses AI. AI can make mistakes. Review everything before you send it to an employer; you are the final editor of your own story. Scores and feedback are guidance, not guarantees, and no tool can replicate any specific employer's private screening system.
Service changes and availability
We improve Bounce continuously and may add, change, or retire features. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give All Access purchasers reasonable notice.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bounce is provided "as is," and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost job opportunities.
Disputes
Bounce is operated from Colorado, USA, and these terms are governed by Colorado law. Before any formal dispute, contact us first; almost everything can be fixed with a conversation.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and note significant changes on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
